Herbal Shampoo Bar
Shampoo soap is softer than the other soap on this site and lathers up a lot more. To use, wet your hair, then rub the bar directly onto your hair and work into a lather. Rinse. You may follow up with a conditioner.
If you have been using commercial shampoos, it can take a while, usually around two weeks, for your hair to get used to a shampoo bar. This is generally because a bar does not contain silicone products (such as dimethicone), while commercial shampoos and conditioners usually do. Since silicone does not wash out well, it builds up over time without you even realizing it. When you switch to a shampoo bar, the silicone starts to wash out slowly, making your hair feel waxy, greasy, or heavy feeling. Once the build-up is gone, you will be left with soft, clean, natural hair. You may even find yourself being able to skip a day or two of washing, because your hair looks good longer without getting greasy.
We have not found this shampoo to damage colour-treated hair. Also, it does not cause grey hair to yellow.

To keep your soap lasting longer, do not let it sit in water. It is best to use a soap dish that lets the soap drain well so that it drys between use.
